Project Overview

This fitness studio in Los Angeles was designed with one goal in mind: to create a space that pushes people to perform at their best from the moment they walk in. Good design in a fitness environment isn't just aesthetic it directly affects how people move, how motivated they feel, and how safely they can train. The layout was carefully planned to accommodate a variety of workout zones, from high-intensity training areas to stretching and recovery spaces, all within a single open floor plan that feels expansive rather than crowded.

The Challenge

The space needed to serve multiple workout disciplines simultaneously without feeling chaotic or disconnected. Beyond layout, the materials had to withstand the daily demands of heavy use constant foot traffic, equipment impact, moisture, and wear while still contributing to an environment that felt intentional and premium. Circulation between zones also needed to be intuitive enough that members could move freely without interrupting others.

Our Solution

We selected commercial-grade rubber flooring throughout the main training areas, chosen specifically for its impact absorption, durability, and ease of maintenance. Full-length mirrored walls were installed to expand the perceived size of the space while giving members the visual feedback essential for form and technique. The lighting strategy was layered brighter overhead lighting in training zones, with warmer tones near the reception and recovery areas to signal the transition between effort and rest. The result is a studio that feels professional, energising, and built to last.
